Cold Lake RCMP have released the numbers of its traffic enforcement initiative.
On Friday, September 25, the police partnered with peace officers from Cold Lake and the Municipal District of Bonnyville to enforce traffic around the City of Cold Lake, issuing 74 tickets and 22 warnings. The RCMP say that most of the tickets were for distracted driving and speeding, including one vehicle going 156 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The police say they also issued tickets for other traffic safety and equipment violations.
