Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish to begin provincewide tour in Lloydminster

Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish will be in the Border City this week as he embarks on a provincewide tour. Minister Glubish hopes to meet with Albertans and discuss the path going forward to reducing obstacles that affect their lives. In a statement, the minister says he’s heard a variety of issues affecting different communities and wants to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.

“I have heard about specific challenges that Alberta communities are facing, from broadband service in rural Alberta to local registries and mobile home tenancy issues in more urban settings,” says Glubish. “This is why it is important to go out and hear directly from Albertans who are in the best place to offer insight into the difficulties they face when accessing services.”

The minister’s travel schedule includes both urban and rural communities and will focus on a wide array of issues facing Albertans. Glubish adds that the tour shows how committed the government is to its mandate.

“This tour is the first of its kind in more than five years, and it demonstrates this government’s commitment to (hearing), first-hand, the unique concerns and proposals that Albertans have on the issues that affect them.”

The minister’s tour begins Tuesday, August 20 at Lloydminster City Hall at 10 a.m., and wraps up on September 4 in Mayerthorpe, Alta.
