Bordering on Disaster announces breakout sessions during conference

The City of Lloydminster has added the finishing touch to this year’s Bordering on Disaster Conference. Along with keynote speakers sharing their triumphs and tribulations in the wake of tragic events, the conference will feature two breakout sessions.

With the main focus of the event being emergency preparedness, Senior Manager of Emergency Services, Jordan Newton says the audience will be able to interact in a more intimate setting through the sessions and speakers.

“The value of the breakout sessions is they provide attendees more choice in participation and higher levels of engagement,”

Through the sessions, Leann Hackman-Carty and Stephan Jordan will present how to promote economic recovery and disaster resilience for communities, including types and challenges of disasters, and how to promote greater resiliency in your community.
