Man missing in North Battleford

A 58 year old man is missing from North Battleford. Sunday morning, Wally Giesbrecht of Elrose, Saskatchewan left a local hotel on the 16 Highway Bypass to go for a walk at about 7. Giesbrecht asked hotel staff about the walking bridges that go over the North Saskatchewan River and the walking paths, but when he didn’t return to the hotel his family went looking for him. Going for walks is a common practice for him, however it is not common for him to be gone so long. The North Battleford Fire Department deployed their boat into the river and along with the RCMP conducted an extensive search of the North Saskatchewan River, but the search turned up nothing. Giesbrecht is described as Caucasian, 5’9″, 190 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a grey shirt and beige pants. If anyone has information on his whereabouts they are asked to contact RCMP.
