The 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games announces Lakeland College as a sponsor for next year’s event. The post-secondary will sponsor the male basketball events, as well as the athlete gift.
“Lakeland College’s contribution to the Games is one of the many ways they show their support toward junior
athletics. As a pillar of the community, we’re excited to have them join in the ongoing efforts to encourage an
active, healthy lifestyle,” says Kevin Kusch, chairperson, 2020 SSG Host Society.
The school will provide living quarters for the Games’ officials during the event from July 26 to August 1, 2020, along with a gymnasium and facility sponsorship.
President and CEO of Lakeland College, Dr. Alice Wainwright-Stewart believes youth sports is a great way to bring the community together.
“We are so pleased to join the rest of our community in welcoming the 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games to our region and offering our support and facilities to this exciting event.”
Athletes from across the province will arrive in Lloydminster for the 2020 Games’ to compete in 14 different sports including basketball, golf, and baseball.
Lloydminster last hosted the Saskatchewan Games in 2008.
