E.S Laird updates library through $2,700 raised

E.S Laird students may find new books that pique their interest after an update to their library through the Adopt-A-School program.

In addition to the middle school holding events such as hat day to raise funds for the initiative, $2,700 was raised for the school’s library and 270 books were donated. The middle school will also receive 30 per cent off books when using program donations.

Coles in Lloyd Mall accepted donations or the community could purchase one of the 50 books off E.S Laird’s registry and two would go back to the school as Indigo matched the donation.

The school was one of 182 across the country that participated in the Indigo Adopt-a-School program from September 16th to October 6th.

In a release last week, Indigo says $733,000 for books was raised in Canada, including nine Saskatchewan schools.
