A 48-year-old man remains in police custody after RCMP arrested him under the Mental Health Act for threatening to kill.
At around 2:40 p.m. on December 29, Battlefords RCMP was called to Frontier Mall in North Battleford after receiving complaints of a man uttering threats. The man threatened to kill people in the mall and security kept the man contained to an area until Mounties arrived.
RCMP members were able to de-escalate the situation by talking to the man and took the man into custody.
