Lloydminster’s Colonial Days Fair a great success again this year

Colonial Days wrapped up on Sunday, closing the book on what organizers are calling a success. With events from Chuckwagon Races to a demolition derby, and concerts from big bands such as Monster Truck and Down With Webster, the General Manager of the Exhibition Mike Sidoryk said the feedback has been positive. While attendance did experience a slight dip compared to last year’s numbers, Sidoryk said the fair did experience more returning guests throughout the day, leading a grand total of more than 40 thousand tickets being scanned. Several services were implemented for the second straight year, including a mobile app, Park ‘N Ride Shuttle Service, and having Buck the Bronco, the ex’s mascot, helping to promote the event. Sidoryk said he thanks the committees, volunteers, staff and community of Lloydminster for contributing to the success of this year’s fair.
