Local Doc thanks community for their support during COVID-19 Pandemic

The local Chief Medical Officer is expressing his thanks on behalf of health workers in the Border City.

Since the COVID-19 Pandemic began, the Lloydminster Hosptial has been receiving donations ranging from masks and protective equipment to food for staff on shift.

In an open letter to the community, Dr.Kevin Govender says that all the donations have allowed medical professionals to keep providing safe care to all patients. He says everyone at the hospital is very grateful.

He is also reminding residents to keep practising healthy habits in this time, such as physical distancing.

The Lloydminster Region Health Foundation is also encouraging the community to continue helping in whichever ways they can.

They say anything from the protective equipment to comforts like food, blankets or even sleep masks for doctors and nurses who can’t leave the hospital are greatly appreciated.

The LRHF is also taking the time to thank monthly and first-time donors, as well as people who helping them get comforts for long term patients, such as tablets to help them keep in touch with loved ones.
