Local lotto winners will now have longer to pick up their cash.
The Western Canadian Lottery Corporation is joining in the initiative taken by other lottery regions to encourage physical distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In that effort, they will now allow another six months for prize pick-ups on tickets that would expire between March 17th, 2020 and September 17th, 2020.
This means people who play Sports Select, Lotto 6/49, Western Max or 6/49, EXTRA, Pick 2/3/4, Poker Lotto/All In and Keno will be given the extension. Zing Instant Scratch-Offs will also be a part of this.
WCLC says they are respectful of players’ health during the pandemic and encourage people to make use of the extension.
A full list of details can be found on the WCLC website.
