A 10-year-old boy has died after a farm accident near Killam, Alberta.
Police say that the boy was driving a forklift on Saturday, November 21, when he lost control on a gravel road. The machine then drove into a ditch and tipped over. Witnesses nearby attempted to administer first aid, but were unable to save him. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The boy’s family say that he drove the forklift before, and was familiar with how to use it.
The name of the family has not been released out of respect for their privacy.
