Onion Lake RCMP has laid charges against a man after an assault in the area.
Just after midnight on April 20th, police were called to a home following reports a man had been shot. The 50-year-old victim was transported to hospital after being treated on scene.
Police received information that the alleged suspect was a 26-year-old neighbour. He surrendered without incident.
Christopher Cook is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and discharging a firearm with intent.
Cook will appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court via phone on April 23, 2020.
