Lloydminster city road crews are going to be working on some parts of 44th Street, which will mean some lane closures.
The work is set to run all week from May 24th to 31st and will see workers out on the intersection of 44 street and 57 Avenue, as well as 44 street and 62 Avenue. Crews will be conducting an environmental soil investigation and taking the time to also repair existing monitoring wells.
Drivers should expect to see closures of the westbound north lane of 44 Street at 57 Avenue, as well as occasionally closures of the right, left and turning lane of 44 Street eastbound. These three lanes will be closed one at a time as crews work.
Similar closures are also happening at 44 Street and 62 Ave. The northbound right lane, left lane and left turning lane will be closed intermittently so that crews can work. The east and west shoulder lanes will also be closed.
The city is asking drivers and pedestrians to follow all road warnings. The work is set to begin Monday the 24th at 8 AM and wrap up at 6 PM on Sunday the 31st, weather permitting.
