Saskatchewan records two new COVID-19 cases, nine more recoveries

Saskatchewan is again seeing a dip in confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last day.

In their May 28th update, the province says one of the new cases is in Regina and the other in the North. There have also been nine recoveries, bringing total active cases to 61 of 639 reported. Total recoveries are now at 568- or 88 per cent of all cases. In the north, there are five active cases and 105 recoveries.

There are currently four people in hospital. one inpatient in Regina and three in intensive care, all in Saskatoon.

The Provincial State of Emergency has also been extended for two weeks. This allows the province to continue drawing from emergency resources during this time, and is not necessarily indicative of a rise in COVID-19 cases.

To date, 45,869 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
