Two new COVID-19 cases, two recoveries in Saskatchewan

Active COVID-19 case numbers remained the same across the province today, as the number of new cases and recoveries were even.

The two new cases are one in the south region of Saskatchewan, while the other was in Saskatoon. This puts active COVID-19 cases confirmed as of May 29th at 61 of 641 reported. 570 people have now recovered,  or still around 88 per cent.  In the North zone, there are five active cases and 105 recoveries.

There are currently four people in hospital. Two are receiving inpatient care in Regina and Saskatoon, and two are in intensive care, both in Saskatoon.

Of the 641 cases in the province, 142 cases are travel-related, 374 are community contacts, 77 have no known exposures and  48 are under investigation by local public health.

To date, 46,454 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
