The Goat’s Christmas Convoy returns

The Goat’s annual Christmas Convoy has returned.

The annual fundraiser will run from December 9-11 in Wainwright, Vermilion, and Lloydminster, where visitors to grocery stores can donate pre-packaged food bags or monetary donations to local food banks. The convoy kicks off at the Wainwright Co-op from 2-6 p.m on Wednesday, December 9, then moves to the Vermilion Co-op on Thursday, December 19 from 2-6 p.m. The fundraiser wraps up on Friday, December 11 in Lloydminster at the Co-op, Sobey’s, Safeway and Superstore from 2-6 p.m.

This is just one of over 40 initiatives that are part of the Vista Radio Million Dollar Charity Week, happening now across Canada, with a goal of raising a million dollars for local causes within the communities Vista Radio serves.  Any money raised within a particular community will go to that community’s food bank.

Last year, the convoy raised a combined $30,220.15 in cash and food donations toward food banks in Wainwright, Vermilion and Lloydminster.
