Two additional cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the MD of Wainwright for a total of five active cases as of July 19th. The County of Vermilion River remains at one active case and six recoveries.
Both the County of Minburn and the County of Two Hills are unchanged from July 16th. The County of Minburn stays at two active cases and one recovery and the County of Two Hills has four active cases.
Flagstaff County has added one more active case, bringing the total in the area to four. One case in Beaver County has recovered. There are six recoveries and three active cases in the area.
Across Alberta, a total of 368 new cases were reported over the weekend. 165 new cases were recorded on July 17th, 106 cases on July 18th and 97 on July 19th. There are 131 active cases in the Central zone with 28 people in hospital and five are in intensive care. There were 98 recoveries in the zone.
Three more people have died from COVID-19 since Friday, with one of the deaths coming from the Calgary zone, and two in the Edmonton zone.
The province completed 23,530 COVID-19 tests between Friday and Sunday.
