The number of COVID-19 cases in some Albertan communities surrounding Lloydminster continue to climb, according to the data released by Alberta Health.
As of July 21st, two more active cases have been recorded in the MD of Wainwright, bringing up the total number of cases up to eight active in the area.
The County of Two Hills has one new active case and one recovery. There are seven active cases in the county. Flagstaff County also saw an additional case and is at five active cases.
The status of cases in the County of Vermilion River remains unchanged with two active cases and six recoveries. The cases in the County of Minburn also stay the same at one active case and two recoveries.
There were 133 new cases reported in Alberta in the past 24 hours, eight of which were in the Central zone. There is 153 active cases in the zone and 34 people in hospital and six of them being treated in intensive care. The number of recoveries increased to 112 in the zone.
There are 1,251 active cases in the province and a total of 8,436 are considered to be recovered.
