The Lloydminster Cultural and Science Centre will be putting on a holiday favourite this weekend.
The centre will be opening the doors to their annual Winter Spectacular, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The event features Candy Cane Kids Shoppe, live Music, community tree decorating, winter crafts, snow painting, snowshoeing, Heritage & Cultural displays sleigh rides, maple syrup in the snow, and a visit with Santa.
“It’s usually really popular. We have over 300 people through our door usually during this event. Obviously, it has fluctuated throughout the years, but I think it’s a pretty good community favourite. We are doing it a little bit later in the year. We normally do it more towards the beginning of December, so we’re trying it a little bit later, and I think we’ll see a good turnout,” said Kyra Stefanuk, manager of the LCSC.
The event will run on Saturday, December 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and normal admission rates apply.
