SHA bringing back paid parking to all facilities, issue reminder about family visitations

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is bringing back paid parking at all of its facilities on August 4th.

With many other SHA services returning to a new normal, the health authority has brought back the paying for parking. Patients, physicians, and staff are encouraged to follow signage to ensure they are parking in an appropriate area. The parking fees were suspended in early April, which they said was to help support and prioritize the delivery of care and to ease financial burdens associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health officials are also reminding people about recent updates to family visitation guidelines at SHA facilities. All patients, residents or clients are allowed to have a family member or support person with them.

The rules are varied at every facility or home and approaches may differ from location to location, based on current health considerations.
