County of Vermilion River re-opening town offices

Like other municipalities, the County of Vermilion River is re-opening their offices but encouraging people to only visit if necessary.

The town’s offices will open again for people to pay taxes or bills, or other town business as needed. County Administration has put in several COVID-19 prevention methods. Plexiglass barriers have been put up, increased cleaning measures put in and requiring people to use hand sanitizer when coming in. Optional masks will be available.

People will also need to sign in when they arrive so that contact tracing can be done if necessary, and physically distance at all times while there. People should stay home if they are sick, or if they’ve travelled out of the country in the previous 14 days. Public bathrooms will be closed.

To minimize the risk of COVID-19, people are still urged to make use of digital or over the phone means of business. People can make payment using their online bank, on the County website with OptionPay and by mailing or leaving a cheque in the drop box at the County Administration Office.
