North-West region continues to see COVID-19 numbers drop; Lloyd subregion remains unchanged

The North West region has seen the number of active COVID-19 numbers drop.

The area that houses Lloydminster, the Battlefords and other surrounding towns is now at 13 cases total, down from 15 yesterday. In the Lloydminster subregion,  cases remain at seven active. The Battlefords area is down to two active cases.

The region housing several towns in the St Walburg and Turtleford area has one confirmed case and the area housing towns like Cut Knife, Unity and Wilkie shows three confirmed cases. None of these areas have confirmed new cases in the last day.

Across the province, eleven new cases have been confirmed. The new cases are located include nine in the South Central area, one in Saskatoon and one in the South West. Of today’s 11 reported cases, ten are people living in communal living settings. A person from Regina in their 70s has also passed away from COVID-19.

Of the 1,387 reported cases, 204 are considered active, with thirteen people in the hospital, six receiving ICU care. A total of 1,164 people have recovered.
