Saskatchewan health officials say there is one new COVID-19 case in the area housing Lloydminster, the Battlefords and surrounding towns.
As of August 7th, the North-West region of the province is at ten active confirmed cases. Breaking this down into subregions, The Lloydminster and District zone is now at three active cases. The Battlefords zone is at two active cases. Neither of these zones has new cases in the last 24 hours.
The region housing several towns in the St.Walburg and Turtleford area has one confirmed case. The area housing towns like Cut Knife, Unity and Wilkie shows four confirmed cases, with one new case in the last 24 hours.
Across the province, 23 cases have been confirmed in the last day. The other new cases include three in Saskatoon, Two in Central East, two in Regina, three in the South West and twelve in the South Central area. One more person has died from COVID-19 as well. This person was in the South West region and was in the 60 to 69 age range.
Of the 1,409 reported cases, 168 are considered active. A total of 1,221 people have recovered.
