UPDATE: Amber Alert cancelled, 4-year-old girl found safe

UPDATE: The AMBER ALERT has been cancelled. Journey Kay was located safe by Saskatoon Police Service.


Saskatchewan RCMP has issued an Amber Alert to locate a young girl and a woman suspected to be connected to her disappearance.

Police issued the Alert at 8:30 a.m. on August 19th for 4-year-old Journey Kay. Kay is described as an Indigenous girl, 2’7″, 50 lbs with shoulder length black hair. She was last seen wearing a two-tone white and black dress with flowers on the front as well as pink sandals with grey soles.

Kay was last seen at about 2 a.m. on August 18th at her home on Devonshire Crescent in Saskatoon.

Police believe she was taken by an unknown woman who is described as Indigenous, 5’6″ with medium length black hair and a feather or wing tattoo on her right shoulder or chest area. She was last seen wearing a camouflage tank top, black shorts and black sandals.

RCMP say to not approach the suspect and instead call 911 immediately, or 1-877-762-6237 or the Saskatoon Police Service.
