A woman is being charged for the second degree murder of a man in Lloydminster.
Lloydminster RCMP were informed of a man’s death at a residence on 47A Avenue and responded at around 8:30 p.m. on August 25th. Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation which resulted in a 49-year-old woman being arrested and charged in the death of 51-year-old Darren Behm.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week and police are not looking for any other suspects in the investigation.
Elaine Behm was remanded into custody and is set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on August 27th.
The RCMP will not be providing any more information as the matter is before the courts.
