An Edmonton man will have to appear in court after being caught doing almost 90 KM/H over the speed limit.
In the early afternoon of August 29th, Vermilion RCMP were called after the driver was excessively speeding on Highway 16. The 33-year-old was pulled over doing 198 KPH in a 110 zone.
Police officers have issued a summons to the driver, and he will appear in Vermilion Provincial Court on November 2nd, 2020.
The Alberta RCMP say they will continue to work with community partners and the Alberta Sheriffs to make sure drivers are making the right driving decisions. They encourage people to follow them on Twitter and Facebook for more traffic tips.
