More than 400 new COVID-19 cases reported in Alberta over the weekend

Alberta Health Services is reporting 426 active cases of COVID-19 were reported between Friday and Sunday, from just over 33,000 tests.

There were 133 new cases reported on August 28th, 184 on August 29th and 109 on August 30th. The total number of active cases across the province is now 1,370.

One COVID-19 case in the City of Lloydminster is considered to be recovered. One active case remains in the County of Vermilion River and a total of 12 cases have recovered as of August 30th.

There are two active cases in the MD of Wainwright and 57 recoveries and two fatalities. The County of Two Hills has three active cases, eight recoveries and one death.

In the Central zone, there are 27 active COVID-19 cases with one person being treated in hospital. There have been 554 recoveries and seven deaths reported in the zone.
