The Onion Lake RCMP are looking for suspects connected to a shooting in the area Saturday night.
Police were called to the east end of the Onion Lake Cree Nation after a man had been shot outside of a business. The 35-year-old was taken to Lloydminster Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers found out that the suspects fled the scene in a silver four-door car. That car was later found on fire in Maidstone by their local RCMP. At this time, the police do not know how many suspects were involved in the shooting, or where they were travelling to when they fled the scene.
Onion Lake EMS, Lloydminster RCMP, Maidstone RCMP and Turtleford RCMP all attended the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
