Another 164 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Alberta out of 9,300 tests completed. There are 1,398 active cases throughout the province with 50 people in hospital and 10 of those in the ICU.
The situation remains unchanged in the AHS Central zone and areas surrounding Lloydminster as of August 31st.
In the County of Vermilion River, there is one active case and 12 recovered cases recorded. There are two active cases, 57 recoveries and two deaths in the M.D. of Wainwright.
The Central zone has 27 active cases with one person being treated in hospital. There has been a total of 556 recoveries and seven fatalities in the zone.
