Psychiatric evaluation ordered for woman accused of second-degree murder

A woman accused of second-degree murder will be transferred to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation per the judge’s orders.

Elaine Behm appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court via CCTV on September 10th and will be transferred to Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford on September 27th.

The 49-year-old woman faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Darren Behm. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigated a report of the death which lead them to arrest and charge Behm.

The allegations against the accused have not been proven in court.

She is scheduled to appear in court again on October 20th.
