Co-accused in forcible confinement appears in court

A man who failed to appear in court to face charges in connection to a search of a Lloydminster home had his case adjourned.

Luke Dean appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court and was been remanded until his next appearance on September 17th.

The 27-year-old faces multiple charges including forcible confinement after RCMP executed a search warrant at a property in the 400 block of 44th Street. RCMP was informed by a victim that Dean and another man had allegedly assaulted them and confined them inside the house before being able to get away.

Dean did not appear to court on August 31st and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Dean was arrested on September 1st and was found to be in possession of several drugs during his arrest.

The charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
