Lloydminster man pleads guilty for drug and breach of release charges

A 27-year-old man has plead guilty to charges connected to his failure to appear in court earlier this month.

Luke Dean attended Lloydminster Provincial Court via telephone conference on September 17th. The 27-year-old plead guilty to possession of 25 grams of methamphetamines, breach of release and breach of possession.

Dean failed to appear in court on August 31st and a bench warrant was put out for his arrest. Lloydminster RCMP searched the city on September 1st and found Dean entering a vehicle with an unknown woman. Officers conducted a search and found he was in possession of the drugs.

Dean’s lawyer requested for 10 days being served for each charge, which the judge granted, as he says Dean only has one previous charge on his record.

Dean will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court on September 28th to face multiple charges in connection to a house search on August 5th. Another man co-accused in the case, Jason Palsich, will also be appearing on September 28th.
