Trout Lake man arrested on several drinking and driving charges

A Trout Lake man has been arrested on several drinking and driving charges after a police chase in Lloydminster.

In the early morning on October 19th, RCMP officers were on patrol in the 44 Street/56 Avenue area and came across a vehicle travelling in the wrong lane on 44 Street. Police tried to stop the car, which refused.

The suspect lead them to a home at the 5400 block of 50th Street and allegedly tried to run on foot. Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services attended to assist and the male was located hiding in an RV trailer, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Leo Alook, 29, of Trout Lake, Alberta has been charged with alleged dangerous and impaired driving, flight from police officers,  refusing to provide a breath sample and Mischief under $5000 among others.

Alook has been remanded into custody to appear in Alberta Provincial Court on October 20, 2020.
