Two stolen vehicles recovered and four people charged in Frog Lake

Four people are facing charges in connection to vehicles stolen from Lloydminster and Bonnyville.

Elk Point RCMP were called to investigate two suspicious vehicles stuck in a field in Frog Lake on November 12. Officers found four people on the scene and further investigations revealed the vehicles had been stolen from the nearby communities the same month.

Mounties says they also seized a rifle, ammunition and a knife from one of the vehicles and arrested the four as none of them held a firearms licence.

Twenty-year-old Taylor Dillon, 25-year-old Ronald Jimmy, 35-year-old Kezia Lewis, all from Onion Lake and 31-year-old Joshua Lecky from Lloydminster were charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Jimmy also faces an additional failure to comply charge.

All were released following a judicial hearing and will appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on December 3.
