The Lloydminster RCMP is investigating a shooting in the city Tuesday morning.
Around 8:30AM on December 8th, officers were called to the 4600 block of 47 Ave, responding to a man who had been shot. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries.
Police determined that a group of men were approached on the sidewalk by a black car with multiple people in it. After a brief exchange, one of the men on the sidewalk was shot, and the car took off eastbound from the scene on 47 Avenue.
It is also believed that the two parties knew each other and this is a targeted incident. Officers say there is no additional risk to the public.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is told to contact the Lloydminster RCMP, their local detachment, or to remain anonymous, to call CrimeStoppers.
