Highway 17, 770 re-open after truck and semi collision

UPDATE: The RCMP says the way is clear, and the on scene investigation is complete.


Maidstone RCMP says Highway 17 south will be closed for an undetermined amount of time as they investigate a two-vehicle collision.

Officers along with EMS attended the scene of a collision between a truck and a semi-truck shortly after 12 p.m. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 17 and 770, about 8 km south of Lloydminster.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist from the Prince Albert RCMP detachment is en route to assist in the investigation.

Motorists are being advised to slow down to 60 km/hr when passing emergency vehicles and traffic is being re-routed.

Maidstone RCMP will provide an update once the highway has reopened.
