Lloydminster Bobcats sign new forward

The Lloydminster Bobcats have signed a new forward for the 2021-22 season, Chase Visser, as they continue to prepare for a return to play.

Visser, who hails from Barrhead originally, comes to the team from the AEHL’s St.Albert Raiders. While their season was also put on pause, in six games he put up three goals and four assists.

Bobcats assistant coach Brady Bakke said of Visser that he is strong in his defensive zone and will bring an offensive touch to our forward group, and is also a high character player who will be welcome in the Bobcats organization.

Before last season, Visser spent his elite-level hockey time within the St. Albert system, putting up 8 goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 39 games in U18. In U16, he also lit the lamp for 26 goals and 14 assists through 34 games.

Bobcats Coach and GM Nigel Dube adds that Visser will have an immediate impact next season and his character will continue to grow the culture they’ve worked to establish.

The Bobcats season also remains on hiatus, awaiting a clearance to return to play.
