3 arrested for armed robbery of Lloydminster business

Lloydminster RCMP have arrested 3 men for armed robbery.

On Monday, January 18th, around 9 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a call of an armed robbery of a business in the 5200 block of 44 street, where police were advised a man entered the store with a firearm and demanded cash and goods.

He fled in a truck with 2 other suspects and they were later apprehended by Onion Lake RCMP, having to use a spike belt to stop the vehicle. A firearm was found in the suspects’ truck and Police learned that the truck had also been stolen.

A 20-year-old male and a 15-year-old male from Onion Lake were arrested as well as a 22-year-old man from Frog Lake.

“Personal safety is paramount in these situations,” says Constable Grant Kirzinger of the Lloydminster RCMP.

“…no monetary item is worth being harmed over,” he continues. “The Lloydminster RCMP is cracking down on criminals who come to Lloydminster to commit crime.”
