Lloydminster residents set to do spring cleaning for Pitch-In Week

Lloydminster and area is sprucing up for Pitch-In week.

The week is set for Monday, April 26th to Sunday, May 2nd, and will see many residents ramp us several spring cleaning projects.

Karen Dela Rosa, Senior Manager of Waste Services says, “As a community, it’s important we combine our efforts and invest in the community by properly disposing of waste and recycling. Each year, Pitch-In Week is something we look forward to because it highlights our sense of community, keeps our neighborhoods clean and brings a sense of vibrancy.”

Residents can tackle sidewalk sweeping, litter and other clean-up jobs around their homes and nearby community spaces. Pitch-In kits are available from the City inclusive of gloves, hand sanitizer and a token of appreciation, along with activities for the kids. You can get your kit by completing the online form before Friday, April 23, 2021.

The City says annual Household Hazardous Waste Roundup will be postponed until the Fall, instead of happening around this time as well.
