Lloydminster man wanted in Meadow Lake attempted murder investigation

A Lloydminster man is wanted in connection to a Meadow Lake attempted murder investigation that is believed to be gang-related.

On January 4th just before 7 AM, six separate calls came into the RCMP about shots being fired at a white car in the Cochin Avenue area.

Upon arriving, officers found an adult male who had been injured at the scene, and the same white car had struck a power pole, causing it to light on fire.  After the Meadow Lake Fire Department put it out, multiple bullet holes were found in the white car.

The victim was treated by EMS and at Meadow Lake Hospital, before having to be transferred to Saskatoon.

As the result of a three-month investigation with multiple detachments, 33-year-old Jon Iron of Meadow Lake and 21-year-old Christopher Nolan of Lloydminster were each charged with one count of attempted murder and another of aggravated assault.

Jon Iron was found and arrested without incident on April 16th, when a search warrant was executed at a home on the 100 block of Carter Place in Meadow Lake by the Meadow Lake RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP Emergency Response Team. He will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on April 19th.

Christopher Nolan is still at large and police are attempting to locate him. He may be armed, is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts or who sees him is asked to instead call the RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
