Alcohol was a factor in single vehicle crash Thursday night: RCMP

The RCMP says alcohol was a factor in a single vehicle crash on May 27th.

Thursday around 6:20 PM, police were called to an accident in the 41 Street and 51 Avenue area. A lone 35-year-old female driver had gone through through a fence and went off the roadway.

The driver was the only one hurt, and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Alcohol was a factor, and officers say she has been charged.

The unnamed suspect has been hit with alleged impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusal to comply with a blood alcohol test, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and mischief over $5000.

As the investigation is ongoing, the RCMP says the suspect’s name will not be released at this time.
