The City says unforeseen circumstances surrounding the final paving of Phase I of the 44 Street/Highway 16 project will delay the switch from the south to the north side to the week of August 23rd.
The project will continue with other aspects that do not affect the current flow of traffic on the south side of Highway 16.
When Phase 2 gets going, business access along Highway 16 south will be restricted from the highway for east- and westbound motorists.
This will allow crews to have a safe work environment while completing the job.
