News Kitscoty RCMP say 30-year-old woman was victim of fatal Friday crash SHARE ON: Dan Soul, staff Monday, Sep. 13th, 2021 The Kitscoty RCMP is releasing more details about a fatal car accident, which occurred in the area Friday afternoon. On September 10th, shortly after 1 pm., officers responded to the serious collision on Highway 619 and Range Road 32. An investigation by the RCMP Construction Analyst determined that a semi-truck was travelling westbound on 619 when it hit an ATV, towing a post pounder, that was also travelling westbound on the shoulder of the highway. Multiple emergency crews and detachments all assisted on the scene, however, the victim, a 30-year-old woman, passed away on the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt. The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing, and the next of kin of the victim has been informed by police. They add that traffic is no longer being re-routed in the area.
