Lakeland College to host Virtual Open House again this year

Lakeland College will be welcoming prospective students to digitally come see their campus later this month.

This year will continue the Virtual Open House program, where students are taken on tours, can engage in sessions and meet with the facility online. Virtual tours will be directed by current students and staff and visitors can also access on-demand videos as well.

There will be over 50 programs showing off their features this open house, and people looking to come on campus can also find out about school athletics and wellbeing programs. These include financing options, mental or physical health supports, residences and academic resources.

Recruitment and Enrolment Supervisor Courtney King says this allows prospective learners to access the campus in a fun and supportive way, and they’re excited to build on the successes of last year’s test run of the virtual open house.

People can register for the upcoming October 22nd and 23rd sessions on the Lakeland website, and aside from one-on-ones and tours, there will be a virtual help desk for general questions and admission help.

Lakeland adds that last year, there were 520 RSVPs from 26 countries. Of that, 390 students applied to come learn at the College.
