Residents of Lloydminster and area will have the opportunity to watch home talent play in a hockey tournament for a good cause.
The Kitscoty Canucks are hosting their annual charity tournament for the 7th straight year.
Organizer, Darris Gartner, says that seven years ago, the guys decided to put on a tournament just because they wanted to and figured if they were going to do it, they might as well do something good with it.
In past years, the charity money from the tournament has gone to one particular person or family in need, but this year the money raised will be going to the Goat’s Christmas Wish for 2016.
Gartner also said in terms of sponsorships and donations to raffles and silent auctions, they take everything they’re offered, but that obviously, hockey paraphernalia always brings in a lot of interest.
You or your business can still give to the cause. You can find the Kitscoty Canucks page on Facebook for details.
