Director of Education Todd Robinson has tendered his resignation to the LPSD board.
In accepting the departure, the board noted that Robinson has been in the role since August 2014 and has led several changes in the division to support its growth in student achievement levels and increased graduation rates.
Robinson indicated his gratitude for being able to serve in the capacity, saying the last seven years have been the highlight of his career.
“I have had a front-row seat to observe the amazing accomplishments of our students and staff. Leaving the organization I have called home will be extremely difficult, but I do so with a sense of gratitude for the opportunity I have been given to serve.”
The board is expressing a keen sense of loss and on behalf of the LPSD community, staff and students is extending its appreciation to Robinson and wishing him the best in his future endeavours.
