Following Thursday’s freezing rain across the Midwest region, Canada Post has issued a Red delivery service notification for Lloydminster. This means they are suspending delivery for the day and not sending delivery agents out or recalling them. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.
The postal service says they view the safety of their employees as paramount and they are encouraging residents to assist by clearing ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their mail carriers, when service resumes.
