The Goat’s Morning Breath with Dan Soul lives by one simple edict: YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’LL HEAR NEXT.
Whether it’s a send-up of the news of the day, a one-of-a-kind parody, or something even a little more on the weird side, I believe in embracing whatever life throws at you and giving it your own giant curveball as you send it back.
A hot take here, some odd sounds there, a shot of controversy, and a little bit (or a lot-a-bit) of Manic Fairy Dust, and you’ve got my show. When the Going Gets Weird, the Weird Turn Pro, and when you’ve got me, the Loudmouth, Offside, Out-There Queen running the show, you best believe it’s pro.
As far as a backstory goes, I’m an ex-pat from Hamilton, Ontario (go Ti-Cats!) who found my voice and my home on the Prairies. I’ve wanted to be in radio since I was five years old, and that fire has not died down in the slightest. I try to bring the love into the air every single day, both for the craft and the community that I live in. On that note, I’ve been with 106.1 The Goat for about five years, and for some reason, they’ve not had the good sense to lock me in the storage room where I can’t get to anyone, and instead allowed me to climb the ranks to our beloved morning show. Now how about that?
I’m also super passionate about community initiatives that build people up, and promote inclusion for everyone. I’ve loved being a part of things like the Goat’s Xmas Wish, The Christmas Convoy, and some of Lloydminster’s ever-growing Pride Events. It means a lot to be part of a community, and it means, even more, to be able to leave it a little better than you found it.
On top of this, I’m also a MASSIVE Rock N Roll nerd. I love the songs, the albums, the minutia, and the stories behind tracks and on my show, you might find yourself with some brand new rock n roll knowledge! As the Music Director of 106.1 The Goat, I’m not only passionate about the sonic sound of our station and filling a day with great rock tunes, but also finding the next new band! If you’re a new artist, send me a line, and let’s find a way to get YOU on the radio!
So let’s get ready, because at 6 AM every day, you get a wake-up call that’s WAY stronger than a cuppa coffee.
