A suspect wanted on a Canada wide warrant for a parole violation has been held in Lloydminster.
On April 13th, Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section were informed that the man was possibly in the City of Lloydminster.
Police while conducting a traffic stop were able to find the man matching the description. Officers say at first the man gave them a false name. But upon further investigation was positively identified and was arrested for his Canada wide warrant as well as charged with several new offences.
Nakota Pooyak, 29-years old from Sweetgrass First Nation has been charged with alleged:
- Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine & Methamphetamine)
- Obstructing a police officer
- Failing to comply with a release order
Officers say, a woman who was also in the vehicle gave a false name, but was positively identified.
Nicole Larson, 24-years old from Lloydminster was arrested and charged with alleged:
- Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine & Methamphetamine)
- Obstructing a police officer
- Identity fraud
- Three counts of failure to comply with a release order
Nakota Pooyak and Nicole Larson were both remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Court on April 19th.
