Midwest businesses in running for AB Chamber of Commerce accolades

A couple Midwest businesses have gotten the nod from the Alberta Chamber of Commerce for its 2022 Business Awards of Distinction.

The Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association is in the running for the Community
Attraction Award.

“Lloyd Ex is continually striving to be industry leading and innovative to support our entire
region. We are thrilled with this nomination and want to congratulate all the nominees on a job well done,” says Jackie Tomayer, General Manager, Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association.

The list of finalists in that category includes businesses in Lethbridge and Edmonton.

There are 13 categories listed including areas like Health & Wellness, Marketing and Indigenous Business.

Vermilion business Cornerstone Co-op is also a finalist in the Customer Service category. They will face competition from Fort McMurray, Edmonton and Medicine Hat based-enterprises.

The Alberta Chamber says there were 273 submissions from which their judges made a decision on 52 finalists. The winners will be announced on June 24th at Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel.
